Boasting some of southern Utah’s most stunning desertscapes and natural history, Washington, Utah is a special place. Its young people are no less exceptional, and Crimson Cliffs High School speaks to this with a progressive layout dedicated to serving the area's growing student populace. With the school’s state-of-the-art design, NWL Architects was able to establish a new precedent of design excellence for the Washington County School District.
The 285,000-square-foot school echoes both the name and appearance of the surrounding rust-hued sandstone mountains and is equipped with the latest teaching technologies to help students reach new educational heights. With an administration and academic classroom building, a physical education complex, and a CTE vocational facility, the school’s campus-style configuration was thoughtfully designed to foster an immersive and collaborative educational environment. NWL also designed the 165,971-square-foot Crimson Cliffs Middle School, which neighbors the high school and shares its CTE and physical education facilities. Both schools opened for fall semester 2019.
