Description

The Granger High School features a new performing arts theater and support spaces that provide a stand-alone venue for the school and surrounding community to utilize. With a balcony with just over 600 seats and main floor of 900, the theater accommodates large and small audiences. The full fly and large stage provide ample space for larger productions. The venue also features shop space, storage, green room, dressing rooms, orchestra practice rooms, choir practice rooms and sound treated booths. The impact resistant masonry was curved on the side walls to enhance the acoustics of the theater while reducing cost on additional material and labor to treat those walls. The theater was placed on the site in a way that allows easy access for touring productions to load in and load out.
